Watch Liam Gallagher talking about Eric Cantona in exclusive ’48 Hours At Rockfield’ clip

Liam Gallagher has recalled the time when he involved Eric Cantona in one of his video.

Liam Gallagher has shared a funny story about working with Eric Cantona in an exclusive preview clip of “48 Hours At Rockfield.”

In the one-hour Sky special, the former Oasis frontman recalls how Cantona ended up starring in the 2019 video for “Once.”

Gallagher Meets Cantona in Paris

Gallagher says he first met Eric Cantona at a club in Paris. The football legend recognized him immediately.

“He turned round and went ‘Are you one of the Gallagher boys?’ I said: ‘I am.’”

Later, Cantona shared on Instagram that “Once” was his favorite song. That led Liam to invite him to star in the video.

“I don’t like doing videos but we asked him and he said yeah.”

Cantona Refused All Payment

Liam Gallagher offered to cover Cantona’s expenses — but the French icon refused everything.

“How much fucking money do you want?”
“I do not want nothing.”
“Let us know what flight you want.”
“I will get my own flight.”
“What hotel do you want?”
“I do not want a hotel.”

Gallagher said Cantona arrived, drank his wine, filmed the video, and left.

“That was it. See you later. [He said] ‘Goodbye my English friend.’”

A Look Into Rockfield Studios

“Liam Gallagher: 48 Hours At Rockfield” follows Liam, along with his sons Lennon and Gene, to the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

Described as “48 hours of music, memories and mayhem,” the documentary airs May 24 at 9pm on Sky Max, Sky Arts, and Now.

New Album and Summer Tour

Liam Gallagher is also preparing to release his third solo album, “C’mon, You Know”, on May 27 via Warner.

He’s already previewed the LP with the singles “Everything’s Electric,” “Better Days,” and the title track.
