Support for Stage Crew

Liam Gallagher is raising funds for Stagehand‘s #ILoveLive campaign, helping UK stage crew in need. Stage crew are the unsung heroes of live music. Without them, shows wouldn’t happen.

The Covid-19 impact has been devastating for the music industry, especially for stage techs, sound engineers, and tour staff. Since March, many have lost income and don’t qualify for government aid. Many are struggling financially and mentally.

Let’s raise money to support them this winter—it could save lives.

About Stagehand and The PSA

Founded in 1996, the PSA represents technical production professionals. With around 2,000 self-employed members and 300 technical supply businesses, it supports industry professionals.

Stagehand is the public name of the PSA Welfare and Benevolent Fund, a charity supporting members facing hardship. It also funds Mental Health First Aid training for self-employed members.

Stagehand Covid-19 Crew Relief Fund

The Covid-19 crisis left live production workers unable to work. Many are struggling with basic living expenses. Some of the biggest stadium crews and grassroots workers are at risk.

The Job Retention Scheme came too late for many companies. 20% of self-employed workers received no aid. This fund helps them survive.

Where Does the Money Go?

Funds will assist crew members at risk of losing housing or struggling to afford food. Grants are available for UK live music crew members, even non-PSA members.
