Bez said that Shaun Ryder and Noel Gallagher recorded a future “Number One” hit together.
Bez from Happy Mondays has expressed doubts about the band releasing new music, but revealed that Shaun Ryder recorded a track with Noel Gallagher.
The maraca-shaking legend spoke with NME for this weekβs edition of “Does Rock βNβ Roll Kill Braincells.”
When asked if fans should expect new material from the Manchester icons, Bez replied:
“No, I donβt think weβll ever make new music. There’s a brotherly relationship, like Oasis, between Shaun and his brother Paul Ryder. For this reason, I donβt think thereβll be new Happy Mondays music anytime soon.”
However, Bez revealed that Ryder has made a solo album featuring a special collaboration.
βThereβs a track Shaun and Noel Gallagher did together thatβs going to be huge,β Bez added. βItβs going to be Number One. Two Manchester legends singing together, and it sounds amazing.β
This follows news that Ryder also recorded a song with Robbie Williams, after the two bonded over their shared fascination with UFOs.
