Liam Gallagher has sparked a bold online debate about music legends.
The Manchester icon claimed Oasis are better than The Beatles in a heated Twitter exchange.
A Twitter Clash That Rocked Music and Football Fans
Everything started after Manchester City secured a dramatic Premier League title win.
As fans celebrated the comeback, Liam Gallagher directed a tweet at Jamie Carragher.
Not surprisingly, the former Liverpool player responded with some sharp words.
“You’ll never win the Champions League & Oasis are sh**e compared to the Beatles,” Carragher wrote.
In reply, Gallagher didn’t hold back.
He mocked Carragher’s jokes and fired back with confidence.
“Oasis p*** all over the Beatles… How many times did they do Knebworth?”
Clearly, Gallagher was ready to defend his legacy.
Knebworth Looms Large in Gallagher’s Mind
Importantly, Liam Gallagher will headline Knebworth Park on 3–4 June.
These shows take place during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.
Naturally, Gallagher reflected on the past.
He told Radio X that he’s “buzzin’” to return to the iconic stage.
“The first time was mega… Now I’m older, I’ll really take it in,” he explained.
Therefore, fans can expect a more present and focused performance from the “Better Days” singer.
Getting “Match Fit” for the Big Moment
To prepare for the big shows, Liam Gallagher is changing his routine.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, he’s going sober until the gigs.
“Stay out of trouble, eat well, no alcohol,” he said.
“You can’t perform like you’re 20 forever.”
As a result, Gallagher is aiming to deliver a top-tier performance.
Still, he won’t stay sober for long.
“There’s plenty of time to get p***** and get high. Do that later on,” he added with a grin.
New Album “C’mon You Know” Arrives This Week
In addition to the concerts, Gallagher will release “C’mon You Know” this Friday.
This marks his third solo album, following the success of “Why Me? Why Not.”
Interestingly, the title came from football culture.
On The 2 Johnnies Podcast, Gallagher revealed he got it from Jeff Stelling and Fenners of Soccer AM.
“I thought to myself, ‘I’m having a bit of that’,” he explained.
Consequently, fans can expect football energy and raw honesty in the new record.her
