Liam Gallagher has hinted his brother Noel might have a demo version of “Don’t Look Back In Anger” sung by him

Speaking to Matt Wilkinson on Beats One when he dropped the bombshell.

The 46-year-old was asked in a fan-submitted question if there existed a studio version of him singing Oasis classic Donโ€™t Look Back in Anger from 1995.

Oasisโ€™s second biggest track after Wonderwall, it was the first song recorded for an album sung by Noel โ€“ setting a trend for later Oaiss albums.

While admitting he couldnโ€™t remember recording a version of the mega-hit, Liam was open to the idea a demo might exist.

Boasting if it was released it would โ€œstill be number one nowโ€ โ€“ the Oasis frontman said he reckons Noel would be keeping a secret copy of the demo.

Liam said: โ€œIf there is a version, I guarantee our kidโ€™s got it and heโ€™s probably got security on it 24/7.

โ€œHe wonโ€™t want that coming out โ€“ he knows I was in my prime then.โ€

Wilkinson jokes Noel would have it locked up in a vault under a bank โ€“ to which Liam then said โ€œunder his tongueโ€.

Liam was quizzed by Wilkinson on a rumour attributed to a unnamed studio technician who worked on (Whats The Story) Morning Glory?.

It is alleged the singer had recorded a demo version of the track back in 1995.

He has since once performed it live with an emotional a cappella version at Glastonbury in 2017.

And when quizzed, Liam was unsure if he would ever sing it again, saying he was happy to leave it as a one time “special” performance.

Liam said: โ€œI donโ€™t remember me singing it. But I remember it being a toss up between the two โ€“ that or Wonderwall.

โ€œI should have sang it because I am the singer.โ€

He added: โ€œI donโ€™t remember singing it. But if there was a version of me singing it it would have been mega.

โ€œWe would have gone with it and it would still be number one now.โ€

Liam then mused there canโ€™t exist a version because it would have been too good to keep quiet.

โ€œI know for a fact I would have nailed it,โ€ he said.

He then concluded that if there was a version Noel must have a copy of it and would be keeping it under lock and key.
