Liam Gallagher will celebrate 30 years of “Definitely Maybe” with full live performances of the Oasis album at iconic venues.
Liam Gallagher has announced plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Definitely Maybe” with a tour that will see him perform the entire album live.
The Oasis debut was originally released on 24th August 1994, and the former frontman is set to honour the milestone in a major way.
Taking to Twitter, Liam revealed:
The news thrilled fans, many of whom called it “fantastic” and asked for special additions like a Bonehead’s Bank Holiday bonus track.
Long-time Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs responded positively. Speaking on Radio X, he said he was “ready” to take part.
Bonehead reflected:
“Some days you wake up and think Nah, there’s no need for it. But when I’m on stage with Liam and we play Rock ‘N’ Roll Star, people bounce harder than ever.”
He also spoke of younger fans:
“I look at that first ten rows… they’re like 16 or 17 years of age. These people weren’t even born until well into Oasis’ career.”
He added:
“If there was a reunion, wouldn’t it be worth it for them? Just one gig for those kids at the front?”
Bonehead finished with a message:
“You hear that Liam? You hear that Noel?”
With Liam Gallagher confirming this special tribute and Bonehead hinting at his support, excitement is already building for what promises to be a monumental series of shows.
