Noel Gallagher has admitted that the remaining members of Oasis could have carried on with the name

The ‘Chief’ says he would have let former members of Oasis carry on with the band name.Noel claims that if the rest of the band had come to him, he would have let them have the name despite them going on to rename themselves Beady Eye, in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

“On the day that I left, they could have had the name if they’d have en masse, called me up. I would have signed the name off to them but they didn’t,” he said.

When asked if he would let the remaining members reform Oasis without him, he said: “I’d pay to see that (them do it without me). I think it’d be fucking interesting,” before he added: “We could start a rumour that I’m going to reform without Liam and I’m going to use a hologram like Tupac at Coachella. (No seriously though) I wouldn’t stop them at all. It would be fucking hilarious. I’m cool with it.”

Noel added: “I get people going, ‘You will reform, you’ll definitely reform,’ and I’m like, ‘What makes you so sure?’ and they go, ‘You just will’. I’m like, ‘What the fuck, don’t be so fucking rude. Are you trying to Jedi mind trick me or what?
“You’d do it for the money and I like money and I would do it for the money if I needed the money but I don’t need the money.”
