‘The Masterplan’ on course for Oasis’ ninth Number 1 album

Oasis are on course for ninth Number 1 album with ‘The Masterplan’ reissue for its 25th anniversary.

Oasis could soon celebrate their ninth UK Number 1 album.

A 25th anniversary reissue of The Masterplan is tracking to top this week’s Official Albums Chart.

Originally released in 1998, The Masterplan is a collection of B-sides from Oasis’ first three albums:
Definitely Maybe (1994), (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? (1995), and Be Here Now (1997).

Back in 1998, the record peaked at Number 2. Now, it holds an early lead towards Number 1.

If it stays on top, this will mark Oasis’ first chart-topping album in 13 years.

Their last UK Number 1 was the 2010 compilation Time Flies… (1994-2009).
