Tom Grennan: “There won’t be another Liam Gallagher”

Tom Grennan paid tribute to the Oasis‘ singer saying that “There won’t be another Liam Gallagher”.

Speaking to Radio X, the This Is The Place singer praised Liam Gallagher and the cultural impact of the Manchester band.

Tom Grennan, born in 1995, said: “I watched Knebworth clips on YouTube. The crowd’s reaction to Liam Gallagher was unreal.”

He added: “There won’t be another Liam Gallagher, ever. Oasis created a movement, a culture. Liam will always be the man.”

Oasis Music Helped Calm a Young Tom Grennan

Although too young to remember the album’s release, Grennan said it played a big role in his childhood.

“I’m born in 1995,” he recalled. “My mum left me with my cousin. Only that album would make me stop crying.”

He added: “Now that I make music and have met Liam and Noel, it means even more to me.”

“I actually told them that story. Liam Gallagher loved it. He was buzzing, do you know what I mean?”

Grennan said: “As an album, it’s unbelievable. It changed England, Europe… even made waves in America.”

He added: “It’s a classic. Still relevant 25 years later. Oasis smashed it.”

Captain Tom Moore Wasn’t a Fan of Oasis

Despite the love from fans, not everyone is a fan of Oasis—including Captain Tom Moore.

When asked by Chris Moyles, Tom Moore replied: “I agree. That sort of music doesn’t reach my ears.”

He said: “It doesn’t wriggle around. I can’t understand the words. The kids sing it, but I can’t.”

Tom Grennan Announces New Album “Evering Road”

This week, Tom Grennan confirmed his second album will be called “Evering Road”, out 5 March 2021.

On social media, he shared: “I’m excited. The time is right. Evering Road is about a past relationship.”

He added: “It’s my most honest work. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
